Puerto Aventuras Trip - Day 6

This photo is the entrance up to the far end of the site. The archeological site is well preserved and maintained. The sun was thankfully hidden behind clouds and the rain bookended our visit. When that sun is out it can get rather hot down there (even though it was hotter in Chicago during our stay in Mexico). Lucky for us we were able to get our siteseeing done before the cruise ship groups arrived... translation, no crowds.

Unlike the locals we were able to head back to an air conditioned room, shower up, and head out to the pool. There may have been a beverage or two but it's medically necessary because dehydration is a real concern (it wasn't one for us because we were pro-active!).

Only one more day after today. The boys are getting anxious to get back to their beds and their friends. Of course I'm the only one that has to go back to work (but not until next week!).
