There's a reason today is an important day. Unlike most war memorials that stand as testament to the men and women who gave their lives for our country, we stumbled across a living memorial. Every day more men and women lose their lives in Iraq and those at home take the time to remember their sacrifice. We took some time out of our day to do the same. For those fallen soldiers and their families at home we pray. God bless them. God bless our country.

Marimbas!
We spent the afternoon wandering around Millenium Park and Buckingham fountain. After dinner at the Park Grill, music was provided by the NU percussion ensemble.
Overall a great day down by the lake. :-)

Hundred, maybe thousands, flocked to the Lakeside Center to view the works of D-47 students. Among the pieces on display was one by John - Dragon Guards the Castle. This piece is also being submitted for a judged event in Springfield...we'll keep you updated.
