Hank and Marge give the Wii a try. Hank a quicker learner but Marge throws a mean hook.

30 Hours of Christmas
The annual two-day event was a "success"... assuming you measure success as the ratio of gifts Lisa received to those that Jack received.
Oh well, I guess it's further evidence that Jack was on the "naughty" list this year.
Merry Christmas

Santa Visit 2007
What may be the final trip to visit Santa in Chicago... the line was long but moved quickly - it can't be because kids weren't asking for many things this year.
While we canceled our hotel reservations and dinner reservations at Bistro 100, we did sub in with a Chicago landmark - the Berghoff. John chugged a couple of cold beers and ate his schnitzel while Jacob enjoyed white fish with a cream and caper sauce. Dessert, as you will see, was all about chocolate. Jacob ordered the chocolate turine and John had the black forest cake. Double yum.

ET Winter Play 2007
The boys were on stage for the second time in two weeks. This may not come as a surprise to many but John seems to really enjoy the spotlight...wonder who he gets that from?
2007 MSN Party
While hundreds of photos were taken at this annual event very few were clean enough for posting on a public site. So enjoy the pictures and let your mind fill in all the gaps.
Merry Christmas.

Dreams do come true!
The gifts that every woman dreams about for their birthday...cutting boards, pot with lid, and something in a ring box. Happy birthday Lisa. :-)

Pretty...
but dangerous. Ice covered the area for a couple of days this week. It made for tricky driving but gorgeous landscapes - even on garbage day!

Who needs a snow blower?
The boys pitch in and do dad a favor...which was great because the snow thrower was out of commission that week.

Jacob - in the chorus
Somebody in the chorus had to take the job seriously... if you watch the video you'll understand that I'm not talking about Jacob!
3rd Grade Play - Welcome Song
Sure it was a Christmas play in a public school... but listen carefully and you'll hear a 'shout out' or two for our friends celebrating different traditions.
Be warned that these video files are intended for the enjoyment of grandparents and others who will voluntary subject themselves to children's school programs.

Dreidel & Impersonator!
The opening number includes two favorite activities of every child:
1. playing spin the dreidel (in my neighborhood we just used a bottle)
2. calling the new kid names!
Warning: You are about to lose 9 and 1/2 minutes of your life.
Keeping it interesting: Try to locate Jacob in the choir and John on the stage.
