The knock on our door this morning was from Santa's helpers at UPS. This was vastly different than the knock on the door at the Blagojevich home this morning.

I now sympathize with all those stars with respect to the paparazzi. Thankfully for all of us this presentation wasn't made at the beach in a thong!

We ended the year with a rather large tailgate extravaganza. Hot chocolate, hot dogs, pizza, sweet potato caserole, turkey breasts and beef tenderloin... not to mention a few beers and a fire pit to round out the affair.

In the end it was the Wildcats winning big over Illanoy. While we don't know yet exactly where the Cats are heading this bowl season, we do know that the Illini are heading home.

It was great home season and we're already looking forward to next fall - more football, friends, and fun.

The day started in school with presentations as historical figures and ended with historical amounts of candy. The boys hit the streets for three hours and rounded up over 150 pieces of candy each. It's only a matter of time that their teeth resemble the teeth of the pumpkins they carved.

For the last couple of years coaches and parents of their friends have counted on Jacob being the one with the glasses. That difference came to an end today.

Seeing that Jacob needed glasses it was only a matter of time before the 'benefit' of sharing of the same genes paid off for John.

In case you're wondering, John was really excited to get glasses.

If you can't handle playing with the twins, then you better just plan on staying on the porch. Jake suffered a bloody nose at the end of his visit today. Luckily none of the moms were around to overreact to his predicament.

The Janezic boys were ready for game time. Unfortunately the Wildcats weren't quite as ready. After spotting the Spartans a few points (17!) the Wildcats did their best but the margin held.

Oh well. We had fun.

Updated Standings

You just can't count on those Badgers! The Wolverines managed to pull out a victory but Penn State delivered as promised. An Illinois team resides at the bottom of the standings and it feels good to see it's the Illini!
